The selection process included a panel interview with industry leaders, including Stephen Gates, General Manager of TAFE Queensland SkillsTech; Mark Pappas, Manager of the Department of Trade, Employment and Training; and National Director of NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction), Radmila Desic AM.

"Harry is an exceptional young man and an outstanding apprentice," said David Hoey, MIGAS Chief Executive Officer, during the award presentation.

"It's because of companies like Clarke Constructions that apprentices like Harry can be free to learn and grow in a safe, inclusive environment that sets ambitious standards," Mr Hoey said.

The award presentation highlighted the importance of the National Apprenticeship Week theme, "Skills in Motion," which celebrates the evolution of skills, knowledge, and expertise that apprentices and trainees develop throughout their career journey.
