MIGAS Apprentices & Trainees proudly announces the latest cohort of outstanding achievers in our MiScholarship Program, unveiled during National Apprenticeship Week.

The annual MiScholarship Program continues to demonstrate MIGAS's commitment to nurturing talent within the trades sector, providing crucial financial support to help recipients advance their careers and further develop their skills.

Recipients were selected across several categories including Rising Star, Professional Excellence, Outstanding First Nations in Trades, and Woman of Influence in Trades. This program awarded over $23,000 in cash scholarships to recognise and support exceptional apprentices and trainees across Australia.

The selection process maintained its rigorous standards, with candidates completing comprehensive written applications accompanied by supporting statements from Host Employers, followed by an interview with an industry selection panel.

A special virtual ceremony held on Tuesday 11 February 2025 during National Apprenticeship Week Australia, and brought together MIGAS host employers, staff, apprentices and trainees to celebrate their accomplishments. The event was particularly memorable thanks to an inspiring address from Dr Jim Penman, founder of Jim’s Mowing and Jim’s Group, one of Australia’s largest and most renowned franchise networks.

"The calibre of applications we received demonstrates the extraordinary talent within our apprenticeship and trainee programs," said MIGAS CEO David Hoey.

"These scholarship recipients represent the bright future of Australian trades, and we're proud to support their professional development through the MiScholarship Program."

As we celebrate this year's recipients, MIGAS remains committed to fostering excellence in trades education and creating pathways for the next generation of skilled professionals. The success of the MiScholarship Program continues to highlight the valuable contribution our apprentices and trainees make to their industries and the Australian economy.

We extend our gratitude to all the Host Companies whose support plays a crucial role in developing these outstanding trade professionals. Their dedication helps ensure the ongoing success of our scholarship recipients and the program as a whole.
