Talent Recognised: MIGAS Duke of Edinburgh Scholarship Recipients

MIGAS Duke of Edinburgh Scholarship Recipient Harry

MIGAS Carpentry Apprentice, Harry, celebrates his scholarship win with colleagues.

At MIGAS, we take immense pride in the achievements of our apprentices and trainees, their dedication, skills, and commitment to excellence.

We are thrilled to announce that two of our own have been recognised with a prestigious Duke of Edinburgh Scholarship – Lucia Cutri and Harry Steptoe.

Apprentice Employment Network and The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award – Australia, through The Edge Foundation Grants and Scholarships program, provided eight $1,000 scholarships for Australian Apprentices in 2024.

Now in its second year, the program honours the legacy of Judith Wright, a renowned poet, environmentalist, and campaigner for Aboriginal Land Rights, who in 1998 was named an Australian National Living Treasure.

These joint scholarships aims to recognise and promote the outstanding training and career work undertaken by Group Training Organisations and the Apprentice Employment Network.
