The Opportunity

In partnership with our host, Johnson Controls Australia, this opportunity is tailored for apprentices in their 2nd, 3rd or 4th year.

It offers the chance to become fully qualified in the specialised trade of Instrumentation and Control while working towards completing your UEE31220 Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control.

These positions are full-time and based in Melrose Park.

Job Details

You will be working alongside industry professionals while completing a blend of on-the-job training and theory coursework and working all over the Adelaide region.

You will develop knowledge of the functions of HVAC equipment, support with programmed maintenance activities, fault finding on complex systems, develop the skills to program and configure the Building Management System and more.

About You

We are looking for individuals who want to know ‘how it all works’ when it comes to technology and thrive on problem solving. You don’t just pull things apart, you put them back together with your own improvements.

As well as this we are looking for the following:

  • A passion for the industry and wanting a career not a job
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Up to date COVID vaccinated (due to potential site work within healthcare settings)
  • Current flu shot
  • CPR/LVR
  • Experience with OEM branded control equipment (Metasys)
  • Current driver's licence (P Plate minimum)
  • A construction White Card (or be willing to get one)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Base Line defence clearance (Australian Citizen)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol and Police Check
